Last modified: 22/11/14 Print PDF  The Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation (short GRADE) Working Group began in the year 2000 as an informal collaboration of people with an interest in addressing the shortcomings of present grading systems in health care. The working group has ripened a common, sensible and transparent tideway to grading quality of vestige and strength of recommendations. The 2011 JCE series provides a 20-part guide for systematic review and health technology towage authors, guideline panelists and methodologists on how to wield the GRADE methodology framework in increasingly detail. Clinicians and policy-making users and anyone new to GRADE may want to consider first reading the 6-part BMJ series from 2008.
